Summer 2016 – Notice What’s Already There 2 with Tracy Burns (S16-09-2330)

Notice What’s Already There: Improv Made Easy II

Bayfront Theater, San Francisco

Schedule:
11am-4pm on Friday, September 2nd, with a half hour lunch break
Class size: 12 students maximum
Class length: 4.5 hours total of instruction
Prerequisite:
Notice What’s Right in Front of You (offered Thursday, September 1st) is a prerequisite for this class.

Notice II picks up where Notice I left off. Participants will concentrate primarily on scene work and have the opportunity to practice the tools and skills they learned in the first class. They will also gain an understanding of how to punch up a flagging scene, mine a moment for all its worth and how to keep a scene alive until its final conclusion.

In this class students will explore:
  • Being an investigator rather than an architect of a scene
  • Holding on to your character’s point of view
  • Letting go of needing to know where a scene is going
  • Taking the spotlight when it’s yours and how to give it
  • Playing with commitment and abandon
  • Expanding your emotional range and depth
  • Having a crazy good time onstage
Please wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes.

**Register before June 1st to take advantage of our early registration rate (NON-REFUNDABLE) of $95. After June 1st class price increases to $115.**
