Afraid your rap is wack?  Learn to flow like a pro in this class!  We’ll create rap personas and play games that focus on rhyming and telling stories to a beat before we start rapping solo, in groups and in head-to-head rap battles. By the end of class you’ll have the skills, attitude and confidence you need to spit  mad rhymes, drop the mic, and exit stage left.

Guest Coach Kristian Ruggieri taught this class in April, and here’s some of what those participants said about the class:

  • “I loved Kristian’s style: laid back and flexible, but she had something fun and exciting planned for every minute of the class. We all grew and improved as improvisers exponentially in this class- by the end I was doing something I never thought I’d be able to do!”
  • “I started out a little tentative, thinking how incredibly hard to teach people how to rap, but I felt this was soooo valuable, as I’m very jazzed up about improvising music and I feel this was kind of the rap jelly to the singing peanut butter. This class really rocked my world. I rap in my head on the way to work now.”
  • “It’s been awhile since I’ve been nervous in a class, but I was nervous going into this class. Kristian did a great job of structuring the class in a way that eased us into it and built the skills we needed. We were all kind of amazed yesterday in our last class that we’re good at this now. I can us this on the stage immediately.”
