As improvisers, one of our ongoing and most challenging tasks is to create wheres and action. Otherwise, we just stand there and talk, and our ability to portray the full range of human experience is severely limited. Remember, we can actually make an audience see things and places that aren’t there on stage, if only we have the skills and commitment to make it happen. It is the truly magical part of improvisation!
In this course, we’ll work on the five guidelines of Advanced Wheres/Action which I’ve developed through 23 years of performing and teaching improvisational theatre. These techniques, used together, give you the all the skills you need to create dynamic environments in any improv format.
BE ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE! DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!
