Family Drama uniquely blends the compelling narrative of a three-act stage play with the excitement and surprise of improvisation.  Like many traditional American plays, the story unfolds in real time, on a single set, and with each actor portraying only one character.

Family Drama has entertained audiences and challenged improvisers since 2003 at BATS. The format requires improvisers to slow down, be simple, listen, as well as explore the depth of characters and the history of long-term relationships.

This course is recommended for improvisers with experience in long-form performance.

Family Drama is playing at BATS every Saturday in November, and a comp for each night is included in the tuition fee.
