Oscar Wilde was one of the most successful playwrights in Victorian England. His plays contain archetypal characters, social commentary, and wit.

In this class we will identify the characters, learn enough about the society of Victorian London to ‘comment’ on it, and we will explore how to be witty, even when you’re not.

Before class: Practice your English accent out loud, and read about Oscar Wilde on IMDB or Wikipedia.
