An advanced course in the Dickens style: Melodrama meets Comedy in Victorian England. Building on the “Protagonist, Punisher, Protector and Eccentrics” model taught in Level One, Level Two adds the element of narration. Bring your environments and characters to life through language with the verve and zest of Dickens’ inimitable enthusiasm for life and social justice. We will watch a film a week and read excerpts from Dickens’ novels. Open to those who have completed Dickens Level I, or by the consent of the school & the instructor.
