Nothing changes a character faster than a regional dialect  (aka “accents),  And in this class, you’ll learn LOTS of different accents to spontaneously use in your scenes!

Accents dramatically expand your character range, and they’re an absolute necessity for many formats – Boat Court, Downton Abbey, Tennessee Williams, Hitchcock and Warp Speed (the Federation doesn’t recruit JUST from North America).  Explore British, cockney, Irish, Scottish, German, French, Italian, American Southern, and more!

You’ll learn:
  • Accents from all around the world, their variations, and the specific sounds \ physical speech mechanics for each.
  • How to call up a particular accent on-the-spot, and how to keep your character’s accent sharp throughout a performance.
  • How to put your new found accent skills into practice in improvised scenes and games.

It’s a verbal world tour that no improviser should miss!
