FS – Improvised Song 101/102 – JRB at FMC (#18-07-2798)

Improvised Song 101/102
Tuesdays, 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM

July 17th and 24th, 2018
Bayfront Theater, San Francisco

Schedule: Two sessions, Tuesdays 7:00 – 10:00pm
Class date: July 17 and/or 24
Class length: 3 or 6 hours
Tuition: $45 for Song 101, $60 for Song 102, or $100 for both
Prerequisite: Foundation 1 and above

This 6 hour intensive workshop is designed to teach the essential principles of how to create improvised solos, duets, and choruses. Song Improv 101 covers the fundamentals, breaking down the challenge of singing a song into its most basic components – breathing, ear and voice training, rhyme and rhythm exercises – and showing how to put them together into complete songs. Song Improv 102 builds on that foundation to go into other song performances — duets, group numbers, and how songs function in scene work.
