Improvising is a large juggling act: stating CROW, interacting with the environment, navigating the movement and the narrative of the scene among many other balls. Acting is often the ball that gets dropped often even though it it is totally transformative: making an ordinary scene into one that connects the audience at a basic emotional level. Thus enabling improvisors to tell stories better.

We draw on techniques from scripted acting to help students improve their acting. We will then use those techniques to play scenes with more realistic characters that react naturally in the moment.
