Cultural Growth Survey Findings and Recommendations

Before you dive into the data here are some key points to be aware of: The BATS Cultural Growth Survey was carried out earlier this year as part of our work to become an anti-racist theater. We received 62 responses and which have now been reviewed and analyzed by our EDI taskforce and which are presented in summary form here for your review.

The data represented in this presentation is drawn from the findings of the Cultural Growth Survey. This represents a portion of our community and is part of a larger picture of which we may only be getting a glimpse
The survey forms part of our ongoing work outlined in our Equity Action Plan. A small segment of the EDI Task Force survey team has redacted personal info in an effort to share what we’ve learned, without causing additional harm, that includes deleting some responses entirely. We have surfaced themes from the entirety of the survey to share publicly. The EDI task force has made recommendations based on these findings
Reports of discrimination include any unfair or prejudicial treatment of people and groups. We are sharing these finding widely & transparently with the intention of being held accountable to and by our community members.
