Keeping You Informed – BATS Actions Regarding COVID-19
Based upon the recent guidance from the State of California and the City of San Francisco Public Health Department we are suspending all in-person classes and performances until public health guidance is changed. While we do not have any known cases of exposure to COVID-19 connected to BATS, we feel that acting with an abundance of caution is the most responsible path at this time.
We know this will be disappointing to many of you and possibly comforting to others. We’re disappointed as well because we love engaging with our community!
But taking care of your partner is a key tenet of improvisation, and we feel this is the best way to do exactly that. The safety and health of our audience, students, staff and performers is always our highest priority, and we believe this is the responsible action to take.
As a nonprofit arts organization, we rely heavily on the support of donors, subscribers, and single-ticket buyers. Individual support is crucial to BATS existence and like other arts organizations we will sustain significant losses due to the impact of COVID-19. We are finalizing the details for exchanging tickets and class tuitions for future dates and will be in direct contact with those who have purchased tickets or enrolled in classes. But we will also offer the option of donating your tickets or tuition to BATS for a tax-deductible donation.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are closely monitoring the situation and we will update you with any changes.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this unprecedented and ever-changing situation. And we’ll keep you informed of any changes as soon as they happen
And thank you for being a BATS fan!
