Mona Thompson is from Washington, DC and has been in the Bay Area since 2009. She began improvising in high school then spent 4 years in college studying, performing, and teaching improvisation with the Stanford Improvisors (SImps, for short). Mona took her first BATS classes in the summer of 2012 when she was living in San Francisco and studying the relationship between theatrical improvisors and the city for an Urban Studies research project. She was the Program Assistant at BATS Improv from 2013-2016.
Currently, Mona lives in San Francisco, coaches the improv team at San Mateo High School, teaches workshops all over the Bay Area, and performs with various San Francisco groups.
