Since moving to the Bay Area in 1990 Amos has spent most of his professional life learning from and working with the San Francisco Mime Troupe.

He has appeared in 15 productions with the famed company and became a collective member in 1997. Currently he is performing as “Dubya” in The Dick & Dubya Show: A Republican Outreach Cabaret (which he also co-wrote) wherever he can book it.

Amos has taught Physical Theater and Improvisation workshops all over the country and in Italy and Germany. Other acting credits include: Vince in Tape and Bryan in A Gentler Place, both with The Alternative Theatre Ensemble; Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelth Night, Bottom and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, both with SF Shakespeare Festival; Great Big Little Panther in Peter Pan with the Marin Shakespeare Company and Envelope Boy in Envelope Boy. He also participated in the partially improvised opera, Smoke x 7, with The Tenderloin Opera Company.

Amos has been a sketch comedian, clown, puppeteer and improviser with: The New Pickle Circus, True Fiction Magazine, Tonal Chaos, The Management, Monkey Thump, Klezmermania, Nothing to Hide, Metropolis, Bread and Puppet, and others. He appeared as Neal in the film Around the Fire and as Jimmy Chuffa in the TV show Nash Bridges. He also plays guitar and mandolin with Charity Kahn & The Jamband and The Bastard Brothers
