BATS Improv Collects its Sixth "Best of the Bay" Award from Readers of the S.F. Bay Guardian

San Francisco (July 28, 2004) - BATS Improv was named "Best Comedy Troupe" today in the San Francisco Bay Guardian's 30th annual "Best of the Bay" readers poll.

It is the sixth "Best of the Bay" award for BATS in the past seven years. BATS was named "Best Improv Company" in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003. The improv category was not offered this year, but readers recognized BATS in the new "Best Comedy Troupe" category.

"There's no medicine like laughter and nothing quite as impressive, theatrically speaking, as improvisation. BATS Improv hands you both on a silver platter," said the Guardian in making the award.
