For All and BATS Improv Raise $5,000 for Tsunami Relief
San
Francisco (January 6, 2005) - Improv troupe 3 For
All and BATS Improv raised more than $5,000 Wednesday
night with a special benefit performance for victims
of the earthquake and tsunami in South Asia. More
than 200 patrons packed BATS' Bayfront Theater at
Fort Mason for the performance by 3 For All.
BATS Improv donated the space and everybody, from
performers to ticket takers, donated their time so
that all proceeds will be donated to the American
Red Cross International Response Fund.
3 For All is Rafe Chase, Stephen Kearin and Tim Orr.
Joshua Raoul Brody was the musician and Gerri Lawlor
was the lighting improviser for the benefit show.
"3 For All is honored to be associated witht
he BATS Improv community, and we want to thank all
of the generous people who came to the show tonight,"
said Orr.
"The news from South Asia has been incredibly sad,
but tonight was about celebrating life, and coming
together to laugh for a good cause," said BATS Executive
Director John Kovacevich.
BATS Improv is one of the nation's largest non-profit
improvisational theatre companies, offering improv
shows and workshops year-round.
