"Jane Austen UnScripted" (Special Guests)
An improvised play in the style of Jane Austen

About The Show
Jane Austen only wrote six novels in her lifetime, but they are some of the most beloved tales of love and misunderstanding, wit and wisdom, and passion and betrayal ever written. Now, for the first time in two centuries, Impro Theatre will deliver a new Jane Austen story every night.  Passionate, willful women flirt and verbally joust with handsome, brooding young noblemen.  Hearts are broken, secrets are revealed and true love wins out in the end. Or does it? The essence of Austen’s brilliant and timeless romantic comedies and social satires is brought faithfully to life by this expert team of funny and gifted actors, whose recent explorations of great literary figures include Shakespeare, Dickens, Sondheim, and Tennessee Williams.

About Impro Theatre:

Impro Theatre is an Unscripted Repertory theatre company. Since 1988 Impro Theatre (formerly LA Theatresports) has brought innovative unscripted theatre to Los Angeles and the world.  The company has performed at festivals from Amsterdam to New Zealand receiving standing ovations, critical praise and first place awards.  The company’s goal is to take the core narrative and style elements of great playwrights and writers and create a new play using nothing but the essence of the author’s work and an audience suggestion. This is their first L.A. show after their hugely acclaimed run of Tennessee Williams Unscripted, also at Theatre Asylum, and they are currently preparing a summer run of Shakespeare UnScripted at Theatre of the Arts in Hollywood, after last year’s well-received performances at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Los Angeles Independent Shakespeare Festival.
